A City for People is about the challenges faced by cities in their efforts to become better places for people to live and work.

Development in Birmingham is a case study to exemplify the issues that arise in most cities during times of change. Housing, industry, employment, city centre re-development, links with the wider world, and urban transport are all featured.

A City for People [LINK] was written by teachers and residents in Birmingham.

It was designed to use as part of Key Stage 3 Geography.

It sought to use local case studies to enable young people to have a fuller understanding of development, relate it to their own experience and to participate in debate about future change.
